Review:

This almost felt like a version of Romeo and Juliet where no one dies at the end. For so many reasons, a relationship between Lily and Cade just would not be a good idea. Not even close. But the relationship with her secret pen pal? Him, Lily might consider. And what happens when she finds out he might not be who she thinks he is—*chef’s kiss*. Plus, what about the fact that she starts to fall for the guy she swore to hate? These two teens from completely different social circles, with vastly different family situations find a safe place to be themselves when they’re together. Whether as secret pen pals or just as Lily and Cade, seeing them get to know each other and be surprised by how much they like each other and have in common was a beautiful thing to behold. Loved the friendships here, though they weren’t as big of a part of the story consistently. Isabel, Lily’s best friend, was difficult for me at first, but I really loved her by the end. Such a sweet story and romance!
